| The Astronomical Society of the Pacific (ASP) hosted this conference with the theme of "The E/PO Profession in Astronomy", and was held at the Double Tree Inn at Reid Park in Tucson, Arizona. There are a lot of Hawaii people here: Peter Michaud, Janice Harvey and Scott Fisher from Gemini Observatory, Laura Kraft from Keck Observatory, Cathy Ishida and Kumiko Usuda from Subaru Telescope, and Rusty Luthe and Mary Beth Laychak from Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope. We presented a poster paper on AstroDay, and sat in on a discussion panel on remote observing and the use of digital data in education. There were a lot of interesting workshops and clinics throughout the conference, and the most difficult decisions to make were which ones to attend. There were several members of our 1 Earth, 1 Universe working group present at this event, as well as other NASA EPO folks that IfA SEPO is already working with. Sorry for the lack of interesting conference images, but I was kept busy at our poster and during the discussion panels. Posted here are some pictures of our tour of the U of A Mirror Lab. | |||||||||||||
