Big Island Regional ROV 2007

The second annual Big Island Regional ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) competition was held at the Hilo High School pool with teams participating from Hilo High, Hilo Intermediate, St Joseph, Connections PCS, Kealakehe Intermediate, Waters of Life PCS and Waimea (Kauai) High School. The event was organized by Cindy Fong of Hilo Intermediate School and supported by Hawaii Electric Light Company (HELCO) and the Marine Technology Education Center (MATE), based in Monterey, California.

Waimea High School, Kauai earned awards for Aloha, Distance most traveled, engineering Kealakehe Intermediate School took 1st place overall and earned the Innovation award Waters of Life PCS took 2nd place in the Intermediate Division and 3rd place overall
Hilo High/Hilo Intermediate joint team took 3rd place in the High School division Connections PCS took 2nd place in the High School Division Hilo Intermediate School took 3rd place in the Intermediate Division
