BIRR Workshop 2007

Teachers and students from Hilo Intermediate, Hilo High, St Joseph, Waters of Life, Waimea Middle and Kealakehe Intermediate attended the Big Island ROV Regional workshop at the Hilo Intermediate School woodshop today. Hilo Intermediate School teacher Cindy Fong ran the workshop and provided instruction on how to construct and wire the underwater vehicles with support from HELCO staff Susan Akimseu, Michael Bechtel, Dean McMahel and Stan Oshiro. The underwater competition will be held later this year, on May 5th at the Hilo High School Pool.
