The Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawaii was the location of a video shoot for the "Living Local" OC16 Cable Access show. Gloria Baraquio, the host of the "Living Pono" segment of the show interviewed our Community Outreach Assistant Koa Ell, Imiloa Director Peter Giles and me. The purpose of the segment was to bring awareness to the greater Oahu community of the observatories on Mauna Kea, their research objectives, the connection of modern astronomy to the ancient "kilo hoku" or star gazers of Hawaii, and the new Imiloa Astronomy Center that aspires to bridge the science and culture of Mauna Kea.
