Scores of students in grades 4-12 attended workshops on hydroponic gardening, electricity, GPS, digital photography, wavelengths of light, refracting telescopes, model rocketry, and much more at the Onizuka Science Day at the UHH Campus. The event featured Astronaut Daniel Tani (STS 108, ISS Expedition 16), who gave a presentation at the opening assembly, ran a workshop and signed autographs at lunch. There were lots of interactive exhibits in the Campus Center Plaza that attracted many families for shared learning opportunities.
