The career pathways fair and summer opportunities expo is sponsored by Hilo High School, Waiakea High School and Na Leo O Na Opio. More than 500 high school students from around East Hawaii and Puna attended the event, which featured exhibits and booths from 69 businessses, institutes and organizations. The IfA was well represented at the event with Mark Chun (IfA Astronomer), Darryl Watanabe (IRTF Electronics Technician), Charles Lockhart (IRTF Software Engineer), Shane Jacobson (NGST Lab Research Associate), James Ah Heong (IRTF Student Intern), Kenyan Beals (IfA Community Outreach Assistant and Gary Fujihara.
