The career pathways fair and summer opportunities expo is sponsored by Hilo High School, Waiakea High School and Na Leo O Na Opio. More than 400 high school students from around East Hawaii and Puna attended
this year's event. The IfA was well represented with Bobby Bus (IRTF Astronomer), Josh Walawender (IfA Postdoc), Ed Sousa (UH88 Electronics Engineer), Tony Denault (IRTF Systems Software Engineer), Eric Warmbier (IRTF Software Engineer), Charles Lockhart (IRTF Software Engineer) and Kenyan Beals (IfA Community Outreach Assistant.
