St Joseph Country Fair 2007
St Joseph School grounds, October 12, 2007
The astronomy community came together for a joint presence at the St Joseph Country Fair. Subaru Telescope, Visitor Information Station (VIS), Gemini Observatory and the UH Institute for Astronomy shared a 20' x 80' canopy tent under sunny skies.

The VIS had displays and a mirror grinding station, Subaru Telescope offered coloring activities, and the Gemini Observatory offered hands-on activities. The UH Institute for Astronomy brought a video kiosk playing informational videos produced by the office of Science Education and Public Outreach, solar telescopes and robot kits for kids to explore. There seemed to be many people attracted to the "astronomy tent" - a tribute to the clever ways our friends on the mountain have engaged the public through interactive outreach.
