St Joseph Country Fair 2008
St Joseph School grounds, October 11, 2008
The astronomy community came together again for a joint presence at the St Joseph Country Fair. Subaru Telescope, Visitor Information Station (VIS), Gemini Observatory, Joint Astronomy Centre and the UH Institute for Astronomy shared a 20' x 80' canopy tent under sunny skies.

The VIS joined us in the IfA booth manning solar scopes, Subaru Telescope offered coloring activities, and the Gemini Observatory offered hands-on activities. Joint Astronomy Centre had a model solar system. The UH Institute for Astronomy ran a coloring/button making activity. There seemed to be many people attracted to the "astronomy tent" - a tribute to the clever ways our friends on the mountain have engaged the public through interactive outreach.
