Malama Punalu'u Festival 2007
Saturday-Sunday, Sep 1-2, 2007 • Na'alehu Ballfield and Park
The University Astrophysics Club joined the UH Institute for Astronomy Science Education and Public Outreach office at the inaugural Malama Punalu'u Festival, held over Labor Day weekend at the Na'alehu Ballfield and Park. Together, we communicated astronomy to the public amidst Hawaiian cultural practitioners, non-stop musical performances, ono food concessions and an art exhibit with a screening of the "Punalu'u Experience" movie. Many thanks to Lisa Perez-Gonzales, Heather Kaluna and David Trang for spending some time with us at the event.
